Pench National park is a well-known wildlife sanctuary, situated in the Madhya Pradesh state of India established in 1975. It has covered the area of 257 sq km. The Pench river flows from the northern to the southern side, divided the park equally into eastern to western halves, the forest area of Chhindwara and Seoni. In 1965 the Pench National Park changed into declared as a sanctuary. But in 1992 it was enlisted in the tiger reserve. The Pench National Park includes a place of 758 sq km, out of which the Pench National Park and Pench sanctuary covered an area of 257 sq km and the remaining area forms a buffer zone.
